Nakon održavanja Projekta Ilica: Q’Art, još uvijek po Ilici možemo vidjeti skulpture “Urban Toys” (Urbane igračke), koje su djelo Aleksandra Battiste Ilića. Riječ je o skulpturama velikog formata koje su razmještene po Ilici, a “alibi” su za stvaranje socijalnih relacija i poziv na društvenu igru, interakciju i akciju.

They are big format sculptures that are deployed by Ilica, and “alibi” are for creating social relationships and calling for social gaming, interaction and action. After the Ilica Project: Q’Art, we can still see the “Urban Toys” sculptures, which are the work of Aleksandar Battiste Ilić.
Eksplozija boja provocira i privlači pozornost, komentare, razmjenu misli, relaciju svijesti o javnom prostoru.Skulpture smo vidjeli 2017. godine povodom Projekta Ilica: Readymade, a postavljene su opet ove godine u sklopu Projekta Ilica: Q’Art.

Sigurno su vam svi rekli da morate vidjeti Gornji Grad Zagreba, a mi vam sada to i potvrđujemo – da, morate vidjeti Gornji Grad! Počevši od Strossmayerovog šetališta pa do Tkalčićeve ulice i tajnih stuba koja su nas odvela do nepoznatih ulica.

All of you must have said that you have to see the Upper Town of Zagreb, and we now confirm this – yes you must see Upper Town! Starting from Strossmayer’s promenade to Tkalciceva Street and secret stairs that led us to unknown streets.
Iz Tkalčićeve ulice popeli smo se ovim stubama koje su, činilo se, vodile u raj, jer im se nije vidio kraj. Hodali smo između kamenog zida i žute fasade, s velikim starim lanternama iznad naših glava. Prilično romantično, zar ne?

From Tkalciceva Street we climbed to the stairs that seemed to have led to heaven because they did not see the end. We walked between the stone wall and yellow facade, with big old lanterns above our heads. Pretty romantic, isn’t it?
Stepenice su nas dovele, visoko na brdo, otrkivši nam svoje ime. Zovu se Mlinske stude, nazvane po mlinarima koji su živjeli na vrhu tih stuba još u srednjem vijeku. Pogled je toliko dobar da smo vidjeli i katedralu.

The stairs brought us up high on the hill, shaking our name. They are called the Mlin Studs, called by the millers who lived on the top of these stairs in the Middle Ages. The view is so good that we also saw the cathedral.
Došli smo malo iznad poznatog Gornjeg Grada, bez karte, bez GPS-a, išli smo kuda nas je srce vodilo. I došli smo do Strossmayerovog šetališta, a za oko su nam zapeli lokoti koji su bili na ogradi. Nikada ih prije nismo primjetili, sve do danas, kada smo odlučili ići malo drugačijim putem nego inače. Pokušajte i vi, sigurno još nešto postoji u Zagrebu za koje ne zna nitko!

We came a little above the famous Upper Town, no map, no GPS, we went where our heart was headed. And we came to Strossmayer’s promenade, and we were caught by the locks on the fence around the eye. We have never noticed them until today, when we decided to go a little differently than usual. You should try it too, surely there is something else in Zagreb that nobody knows!

Zagreb Histrion Summer on Opatovina
I ove će se godine u Zagrebu u parku Opatovina, poznatog po svojem poviejsnom izgledu, održati 33. Histrionsko ljeto. Tema ovogodišnjeg programa jest Hrvatska književnica i novinarka, Marija Jurić Zagorka, odnosno njezino djelo Grička Vještica.

Radi se o kazališnoj predstavi koju će izvesti glumci kazališta Histrion, a glavnog junaka iz Gričke Vještice utjeloviti će hrvatski popularni glumac Janko Popović Volarić. Priča o Gričkoj Vještici istinita je priča u kojoj se radi o ljubavi između kapetana i kontese Nere, koju će glumiti Mada Peršić.

It is about theatrical performance performed by actors of the Histrion theater, and the main hero from Grička Vjestica will include Croatian popular actor Janko Popović Volarić. The story of the Gričkoj Witches is a true story about the love between Captain and Black Contours, played by Mada Peršić.
Sve će se održavati na ljetnoj pozornici, a Opatovina kao dio Gornjeg Grada svojim će srednjovjekovnim stilom dodati onaj stari šarm toga doba. Još jedno maleno mjesto u Zagrebu koje će svoje ruho otkriti 5. srpnja i trajati će sve do 2. rujna.

Beauty in diversity
Projekt Humanae čini zbirka portretni fotografija kojima Angelica Dass predstavlja istinsku ljepotu ljudske različitosti. Angelica Dass brazilska je umjetnica koja živi i radi u Madridu. Ove godine, u premijerno će ga moći vidjeti hrvatska publika. Umjetnica će 09. travnja održati predavanje i predstavti svoj rad i projekt. Izložba foto instalacija bit će postavljena na javnim površinama grada: Glavni kolodvor, Trg bana Josipa Jelačića , Trg Petra Preradovića, Trg Republike Hrvatske i Dežmanova ulica.
Projekt je prikazan na brojnim izložbama i predavanjima, a nakon govora na TED Globalu u Vancouveru umjetnica je postala popularna diljem svijeta. Humanae projekt predstavlja višegodišnji rad u nastajanju kojemu je namjera prikazati kromatski raspon boja ljudske kože.
Cilj projekta je ukazati na različitost svakog pojedinca i ljepotu koju ta različitost nosi u sebi.. Osobe koje poziraju na ovim fotografijama su volonteri koji su se dobrovoljno prijavili za sudjelovanje. Projekt je otvoren prema svima koji žele biti dio ovog globalnog mozaika i nema određen datum završetka. Projekt danas broji preko 3500 fotografija koje su nastale u 26 gradova u 17 različitih zemalja (Španjolska, Francuska, Norveška, Švicarska, Nizozemska, Irska, Rusija, Italija, Kanada, SAD, Ekvador, Čile, Brazil, Argentina, Indija, Južna Koreja i Etiopija). The Humanae Project is a collection of portrait photographs by Angelica Dass which represent the true beauty of human diversity. Angelica Dass is a Brazilian artist who lives and works in Madrid. This year, the Croatian audience will be able to see her photographs for the first time. The artist will hold a lecture on April 9 and present her work and project. The photo exhibition will be located on the public areas of the city: Main Station, Ban Josip Jelačić Square, Petar Preradović Square, Trg Republike Hrvatske and Dežmanova Street.
The project is shown at numerous exhibitions and lectures, and after speaking at TED Global in Vancouver, the artist has become popular around the world. The Humanae Project is a multi-year work in the intent to show the chromatic range of human skin colors.
The goal of the project is to point the diversity of each individual and the beauty that this diversity carries within. The people posing on these photographs are volunteers who volunteered to participate. The project is open to anyone who wants to be part of this global mosaic and does not have a specific end date. The project today counts over 3500 photos that were created in 26 cities in 17 different countries (Spain, France, Norway, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Ireland, Russia, Italy, Canada, USA, Ecuador, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, India, Ethiopia). Zagreb je zasvijetlio u magičnom ruhu
U četvrtak je počeo drugi Festival svjetla Zagreb koji traje još samo danas.

The second Light Festival Zagreb began on Thursday, and it lasts till today.
Na čak 19 lokacija u povijesnoj jezgri Gornjega grada audiovizualne instalacije i 3D projekcije stvorile su atraktivne svjetlosne predstave. U ponudi se izdvaja atrij Galerije Klovićevi dvori gdje poseban doživljaj stvara tisuću svjetlećih zraka uz glazbu u pozadini, ljetna pozornica Tuškanac na kojoj uz laserski spektakl pleše grupa Atomic Dance Factory te Gornjogradski vinogradi na prostoru Art Parka.

Aerodrom Borongaj, izgrađen 1926. godine, nalazi se samo 6 kilometara od grada. Ali, danas je zapušten, skriva mnoge tajne koje tek čekaju da budu otkrivene.

Nakon uspješnog leta preko Atlantika 1927. godine Charles Lindbergh spustio se na Borongajski aerordom. 1928. otvara se prva zračna liniija između Zagreba i Beograda, a nakon toga i s Bečom, Budimpeštom, Pragom, Grazom… Nije korišten samo za vojne potrebe već i za civilni prijevoz, a s dolaskom rata prestaje biti dostupan civilima te je nekoliko puta bio bombariran. Danas je okružen skladištima i raznim tvrtkama.

In 1928, the first air line between Zagreb and Belgrade opened, and then with Vienna, Budapest, Prague, Graz … It was not used only for military purposes but also for civilian transportation, and with the arrival of the war it was no longer available to civilians and was bombed several times. Krenete od žljezničke stanice Maksimir i kod Konzuma skrenete lijevo kroz zelenu površinu između limenki, pa ćete vidjeti betonirani putić, zatim dolazite do betonirane staze uz koju su klupice. Tamo idite još lijevo od nje i izlazite na ulicu koja se zove Borongaj-Aerodrom. Na vašoj lijevoj strani je prostor ograđen plavom ogradom s bodljikavom žicom na vrhu u kojemu su zgrade i parkirališta za aute. To je nekadašnji Borongajski aerodrome. Danas to područje koriste razne tvrtke koje tamo imaju skladišta.

„Uronjeni u magični svijet genija Nikole Tesle te povezivanjem elemanata „živog“ filma, video scenografije, računalne igra i čarobne hologramske-svjetlosne avanture u jedinstveni multimedijski doživljaj proširene realnosti, ovom izložbom želimo Vas odvesti na kontemplativno „putovanje bez početka i kraja kroz proces inspiracije, kreativnosti i stvaranja“, opisala je izložbu Helena Bulaja Madunić. Autorica izložbe govori kako je cilj projekta ispričati priču o jednom od najvećih izumitelja 20. stoljeća.

“Immersed in the magical world of genius Nikola Tesla and linking the elements of “live film, video scenery, computer game and magical hologram-light adventures into a unique multimedia experience of expanded reality, this exhibition will take you to a contemplative „journey without beginning and end through the process of inspiration , creativity and creation”,said Helena Bulaja Madunić. The author of the exhibition says that the aim of the project is to tell a story about one of the greatest inventors of the 20th century.
Nikola Tesla bio je zaista čovjek ispred svog vremena.Trebalo je proći stoljeće kako bi postao priznat i shvaćen u svijetu. Trofazna struja, električni motor, okretno polje i bežićni prijenos energije samo su neki od izuma ovog genija. Ne možemo ni zamisliti kako bi naše vrijeme izgledalo da nije bilo Tesline „ludosti“. Rođen u Lici, većinu svog vremena proveo je u Americi. Na ovom je izložbi prikazano njegovo vrijeme onime čega bez njega ne bi bilo, sve od rođenja u Smiljanu 1856. godine pa sve do njegove smrti, prikazano je onime čega bez njega ne bi bilo. Utjecaj koji je ostavio na razne umjetnike poput Marine Abramović, Terry Gilliam i Laurie Anderson zaista je velik.

Izložba „Nikola Tesla – Mind from the Future“ postavljena je od 25. studenoga do 20. ožujka u Domu hrvatskih likovnih umjetnika, takozvanom Meštrovićevom paviljonu. Ako još uvijek niste razgledali izložbu, a fascinira Vas Teslin lik i djelo imate još priliku otići u Meštrovićev paviljon. Priliku ćete imati i u Dubaiu, Parizu, Pragu, Budimpešti i New York. Cijene ulaznica za izložbu su 80 kuna, a za studente 55 kuna.

In Demetrova 3 on the Grička Gora in a single haustor, there is a metal tombstone of a late 19th-century boy, Paul David von Vakanovich. U prosincu davne 1751., graditelj zgrade u Demetrovoj 3 sudjelovao je u progonu četiriju vještica s Medvednice. Matija Nikola Mesić, tako mu bijaše ime, visokoobrazovani hrvatski činovnik, palio je tadašnje vještice na lomačama, po kajkavski – coprnice. Paul David niti je živio, niti se rodio na adresi Demetrova 3, a godine koje je umro, lov na vještica bio je ukinut na više od deset godina.

In December 1751, the builder in Demetrova 3 participated in the prosecution of four witches from Medvednica. Matija Nikola Mesic, so was his name, a highly educated Croatian clerk, had wounded the witches at that time on the pits, by the kajkavian cover. Paul David neither lived nor was born at Demetrova 3, and the year that he died, the witch hunt was abolished for more than ten years.
1861. godine, čovjek pod imenom Antun Vakanović (Vakanovich), evidentiran je kao vlasnik dva stambena prostora u Demetrovoj ulici – Demetrova 3 i 13. Iako Paul David nije preminuo na toj kobnoj adresi, na njegovo je liječenje koje je trajalo mjesecima bilo utrošeno 1000 forinti. Njegova nadgrobna ploča premještena je s groblja u haustor Demetrove 3. Zašto? Kako bi se gosti i uzvanici mogli diviti na ulazu u palaču njegova oca.

Although Paul David did not die at this fatal address, his treatment lasted for months of 1000 forints. His tombstone was moved from the cemetery in Demetrova 3. Why? Najstrašniji muzej u Zagrebu / The scariest museum in Zagreb
Uz mnoge muzeje koji nudi grad Zagreb, samo u jednome od njih možete vidjeti te čak i dodirnuti pravi Iron Maiden! Naime, ovdje se ne radi o poznatoj heavy metal grupi, već o spravi za mučenje iz srednjeg vijeka po kojoj je grupa i dobila ime, a zapravo se to zove – Nurnberška djevica.

With other museums that Zagreb offers, only in one you can find i touch real Iron Maiden! Well, it’s not the famous heavy metal band, but torture device from middle age. The band was named by that device, but in fact the device is called The virgin from Nurnberg.
Nalazi se u Muzeju torture, točnije Tortureumu u Tkalčićevoj ulici, zajedno s još 70 sprava za mučenje koje su tamo izložene i koje također možete osobno isprobati i dirati jer nisu izvorni primjerci, već jako uvjerljive replike.

It is located in The museum of torture, precisely in Tortereum in Tkalčićeva Street, with 70 other torture devices that are exhibited therre. You can personly try and touch tem because they are not originals, but just very convincing replica’s.
Prostor u kojem se muzej nalazi nije velik da hodate satima beskrajnim hodnicima, već ima pet prostorija: hodnik za ulaz, blagajna, polukružni hodnik, odvojena prostorija i rekonstrukciju tamnice. U njoj možete nekog zatvoriti i čekati dok druga osoba „uživa“ u hladnoći uz sjene svijeća na zidovima.

Space of the museum isn’t so large that you could walk for hours in endless hallways. It only has five rooms: entry hallway, cash register, semi-round hallway, separated room and reconstruction of a dungeon. Svaka osoba dobije tablet kojim očitava bijele naljepnice zalijepljene pokraj svake izložene sprave i možete pročitati sve o određenom predmetu u muzeju. Tortureum is different from others, because you are guiding yourself. Every person gets tablet and can read white stickers besides every exhibited device. In that way you can read everything about certain item in the museum. Beside the text, museum has tried to show use of every device on human with pictures and videos. #UpoznajSrceZagreba ❤

Kino s više lica / Multi-faced cinema
U centru Zagreba krije se neobično kino Kaptol Boutique Cinema. Ono što ga čini drugačijim od ostalih kina jest njegov poseban dizajn. Svaka dvorana u kinu drugačije je uređena. U suradnji sa Cinestarom dizajnirala ga je hrvatska modna dizajnerica Aleksandra Dojčinović. Najposebnija dvorana nalikuje na knjižnicu, a pokraj luksuznih crvenih sjedala nalaze se stolne svjetiljke.

In the middle of Zagreb, you can find unusual Kaptol Boutique Cinema. What makes it different from other cinema’s is special design. Every cinema hall is differently decorated. Aleksandra Dojčinović, croatian fashion designer, has designed it in cooperation with Cinestar. The most special hall resembles a library, and besides luxurious red seats there is a table lamp.
